I read Yahoo News just a few minutes ago. Having read the article, has brought my memory back to some years ago when I had to memorize the names of the planets. I do not really remember how the book I once read tried to abbreviate the names of the planets; I forget already. Other than the names of the planets, there is also similar way to memorize kinds of winds? ( Indonesian term)

Siang - Angin Laut

This little kid I read on the article won a contest how to memorize the names of the eleven planets easily. Here's how :

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptunus, Pluto, Eres

Magic Carpet = Aladin. That's what the kid thought! Smart !

But actually, well maybe I am not well-informed about the recent planets. If i am not mistaken Pluto had been excluded? as it was out of the orbit already? it was downgraded already?

I just heard of Ceres and Eres. I looked them up on wikipedia, yet I have not really read all. Anyway, I think the way the kid did was neat.

I did try to create similar things, yet I have not managed to come up with good ones
