Time to stimulate my brain with words through poetry Wednesday. Today, let me share you one of my poems ( phew this is my "first" poem I wrote since I wrote the last poem six months ago, I know, I know; it's been so long.) I willl drop by to yours as soon as I get the time; as my ISP seems to have been having some problems, and that cause me to fail to browse some sites ( multiply is one of them).
Sunset Secret
Sunset, sunset What would you tell to the world? Sunset and the unspoken words within Are you being secretive? How could you possibly console restless mind?
Sunset, oh my dear sunset On the medium-speed train when my eyes were deceived, By an excellent figure, gleaming eyes of someone. Then I found rapture in his ordinary words Having been drawn into your comforting tone of voice
Sunset exudes boundless love You let me watch the days pass by, YOu let me relive sublime moments, Forgetting the crowd around Then you and I were mesmeric.
What a beauty you possess! Had my eyes been deceived once more? or was it my mind reliving moments? Perhaps, my heart was then planted by hopes
Sunset, my beautiful sphere! Never has your beauty deceived me Neither have the gleaming eyes, which were close to mine. For it was I who was on a joyful state of mind planted by hopes, All by myself
Please allow me to share one of Khalil Gibran's poems!. I am not that familiar with his poems, yet I read one of his works "The Prophet" - click there to read my review.
Time XXI
And an astronomer said, "Master, what of Time?"
And he answered:
You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable.
You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons.
Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing.
Yet the timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness,
And knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.
And that that which sings and contemplates in you is still dwelling within the bounds of that first moment which scattered the stars into space.
Who among you does not feel that his power to love is boundless?
And yet who does not feel that very love, though boundless, encompassed within the centre of his being, and moving not form love thought to love thought, nor from love deeds to other love deeds?
And is not time even as love is, undivided and paceless?
But if in you thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons,
And let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing.
Khalil Gibran
To me, his poems and works are always touching my deepest thoughts. I'd say his writings are beautifully written, yet easily understood; this is why I like his writings. " Time XXI" ; I am asking you, "Why does time fly high so fast?" . Enjoy your day there! and thanks for reading the power of speech written by Khalil Gibran.
"A Sweet Lullaby" is my old poem collection, I just realized that I haven't tried to write any new poems lately. For the next poetry Wednesday, I plan on sharing one of my favorite poems written by a poet whom I am sure you know. My poem above is inspired by mornings and nights that always come in our life. Then we feel " oh time goes so fast". A year could be like just a few months, three years could be just like a year. When I wrote this poem, I remember it was such a calm night with the full moon outside. Have a great day! As always when blogging, I leave you with today's theme song. I chose a song, which I am sure you know this, are you ready to sing along with me while reading poems ) not necessarily my poem, but others as well._
" The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky, ... I see friends shaking hands, say "how do you do" they're really saying " I love you". "
Much Love

She would paint on every day she woke up from the dreams
If only she could paint
Then she would devote the time to the art on a canvas
For thousands of dreams she could not recall
For thousands of dreams she could not tell
For a true heart she's been saving
Until the time God decides it to arrive
Until the time all the dreams reveal
Until the time

This is a repost. I wrote this in 2006. This poem was inspired by someone, whom the name I decided not to reveal. Sometimes it feels good to keep some things for yourself alone especially some things you consider private. This was actually my first entry in Poetry Wednesday as I seem to have difficulies in finding free time to write poems.
I decided to choose the poem as I am also inspired by my contact, who is realy good at painting. I do miss painting, I do not know when I will paint again.
Last night, it was full moon outside. I was about to blog something about it, yet my eyes were red, my mind was frozen, I couldn’t seem to express my thoughts; I was too sleepy to blog.
Every time I see full moon, I recall some events in my life associate with it. You probably remember one of my blogs here about a shooting star. I once saw it somewhen in 1989. I was lying down on the grass of my parents’ garden in Semarang, Central Java. It was a break time after dinner. “Ah, istirahat dulu ah sebelum belajar” literally saying “ I need a break before I study.” Even though after the break, I chose to do something else instead of studying, hehehe. The sky, loaded with stars looked so bright that Iwanted to sleep there on the grass. *blink blink blink* -
“Twinkle twinke litte stars, … or kupandang langit penuh bintang bertaburan ,..”
( okay theme songs for the day; children songs related to stars).
While humming a song, which I don’t manage to recall up to this time I am blogging, all of sudden, I saw a shooting star. “WOW”, I guess my jaw dropped at that time, . Sadly, I have never seen any since then. The shooting star had influenced my life for some times. I kept on singing the song(s) related to stars, drawing night scene with stars and yes, the shooting star. I remember seeing the moon as well that night, but I was way amazed by the shooting star I saw for the first time.
Okay, full moon meant nothing to me that day or the following years.
Let’s flash back, …
I was sitting on a bench in front of my parents’ house when it was full moon. It was incredibly big and beautiful. I ever read about the moon that said the more you close to …or in which country you live,.. ( hmm sort of things, I am not well-informed about this. I should search on the net then.) the bigger the moon will look. The look of the moon that night had influenced my drawings as a kindergarten student.
The moon, the moon and the moon…
That day, full moon meant something. It was in 1985.
Okay, another quantum leap ( do you remember the series on TV years ago?)
Graduation day arrived! A week-farewell trip was settled; we all went to BaliIsland. It was already around 1 A.M when our bus reached Bali. We passed the lane with bushy bushes on the right and left side. I didn’t sleep a wink that night; I can never sleep on night buses, I don’t know why. It seemed to me that everyone on the bus was asleep already, Zzzzzz well, not really sure though but I didn’t hear any voices, but only the voice of MLTR ( Michael Learns to Rock) singer(s) on the tape played on the bus that night. Here’s the song
“How many hours and how many days, how many… ..”
( okay another today’s theme song by MLTR)
What was so special on this bus? The moonbeam! I was sitting next to the window, and the moonbeam gave an amazing light to the dark lane and inside the bus. “I wish I could take a picture of you.” I said to myself. Okay, it was in 1999 ( how many times have I said “okay” today??)
Since then, I have always wanted to be able to take good photographs of full moon. Sadly, I haven’t possessed an advanced camera, which enable me to take the photograph of full moon. This may sound simple, but really I hope to have bunches collection of full moon photos with different kind of settings. Until that day arrive, I shall be satisfied with the photos of full moon I have taken using my simple digital camera.
I only copy paste this from my MS word to MP ( a.k.a Multiply). Until next time on my other blogs, I leave you with a theme song for the day, if you know the song, please sing along with me
“raindrops keep falling on my head.... but that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turning red….”
Here’s a little poem
What beam makes my day so cheery?
Neither a fluorescent light nor the sun
Yet, the moonbeam on my nights
The nights when I blow my hopes
The nights when I feel secure
Above all the nights when I know I am alive

“ When I thought of you and moonbeam”
It’s close to weekend,
May your coming weekend be better than the previous one! CEMANGAT yo!
It's been sometimes since I wrote poems here. All of sudden, I found an inspiration, then I decided to save it on my poetry writing. I guess I want to try to write more, we'll see
Taken when I was in Jogja, the unforgetable city. It was taken in the very top temple of Borobudur. What is so special of this photo? Definitely, it was not taken by a profesional kind of camera, yet I sense a great feeling every time I look at the photo; I feel like being there in Jogja- Central Java. I always miss Jogja that is for sure. So, I dedicate this photo to Jogja, and those who have been there and fallen in love instantly with it and the people.
Taken this afternoon. I just grabbed whatever red I have already had in my pencilcase. These red things posted for Picture Perfet- Red theme hosted by http;//fotofriday.multiply.com might not be perfect yet I felt just in a perfect mood to capture some photos.
Once a little girl said "Is Red your passion, ma'am?"
