Full Moon and I

(When It was full moon)

Last night, it was full moon outside. I was about to blog something about it, yet my eyes were red, my mind was frozen, I couldn’t seem to express my thoughts; I was too sleepy to blog.

Every time I see full moon, I recall some events in my life associate with it. You probably remember one of my blogs here about a shooting star. I once saw it somewhen in 1989. I was lying down on the grass of my parents’ garden in Semarang, Central Java. It was a break time after dinner. “Ah, istirahat dulu ah sebelum belajar” literally saying “ I need a break before I study.” Even though after the break, I chose to do something else instead of studying, hehehe. The sky, loaded with stars looked so bright that I  wanted to sleep there on the grass. *blink blink blink* -

“Twinkle twinke litte stars, … or kupandang langit penuh bintang bertaburan ,..”

( okay theme songs for the day; children songs related to stars).

While humming a song, which I don’t manage to recall up to this time I am blogging, all of sudden, I saw a shooting star. “WOW”, I guess my jaw dropped at that time, . Sadly, I have never seen any since then. The shooting star had influenced my life for some times. I kept on singing the song(s) related to stars, drawing night scene with stars and yes, the shooting star.  I remember seeing the moon as well that night, but I was way amazed by the shooting star I saw for the first time.

Okay, full moon meant nothing to me that day or the following years.

Let’s flash back, …

I was sitting on a bench in front of my parents’ house when it was full moon. It was incredibly big and beautiful. I ever read about the moon that said the more you close to …or in which country you live,.. ( hmm sort of things, I am not well-informed about this. I should search on the net then.) the bigger the moon will look. The look of the moon that night had influenced my drawings as a kindergarten student.

The moon, the moon and the moon

That day, full moon meant something. It was in 1985.

Okay, another quantum leap ( do you remember the series on TV years ago?)

Graduation day arrived! A week-farewell trip was settled; we all went to Bali Island. It was already around 1 A.M when our bus reached Bali. We passed the lane with bushy bushes on the right and left side. I didn’t sleep a wink that night; I can never sleep on night buses, I don’t know why. It seemed to me that everyone on the bus was asleep already, Zzzzzz well, not really sure though but I didn’t hear any voices, but only the voice of MLTR ( Michael Learns to Rock) singer(s) on the tape played on the bus that night. Here’s the song

How many hours and how many days, how many… ..”

( okay another today’s theme song by MLTR)

What was so special on this bus? The moonbeam! I was sitting next to the window, and the moonbeam gave an amazing light to the dark lane and inside the bus. “I wish I could take a picture of you.” I said to myself. Okay, it was in 1999 ( how many times have I said “okay” today??)

Since then, I have always wanted to be able to take good photographs of full moon. Sadly, I haven’t possessed an advanced camera, which enable me to take the photograph of full moon. This may sound simple, but really I hope to have bunches collection of full moon photos with different kind of settings. Until that day arrive, I shall be satisfied with the photos of full moon I have taken using my simple digital camera.

I only  copy paste this from my MS word to MP ( a.k.a Multiply). Until next time on my other blogs, I leave you with a theme song for the day, if you know the song, please sing along with me

“raindrops keep falling on my head.... but that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turning red….”

Here’s a little poem

What beam makes my day so cheery?

Neither a fluorescent light nor the sun

Yet, the moonbeam on my nights

The nights when I blow my hopes

The nights when I feel secure

Above all the nights when I know I am alive

It’s close to weekend,

May your coming weekend be better than the previous one! CEMANGAT yo!

Blog EntryMatematika VS MenulisMar 9, '08 3:42 AM
for everyone

Whenever I listen to this song, I remember my staying in one of the cities in West Java. The video clip of the song takes place at a beach and at the beginning of the song, you can hear the sound of the wave. It's so peaceful kind of song that you will not get bored listening to this song. This song has been a "must-sing" song in almost every kind of informal and formal gathering as it's about love, friendship, nature and life. The theme of the song suits to any kind of situation, so that explains why this song has been a 'must-sing" song.

Whenever I listen to this song, I smile. I guess this song is really soulful. The arrangement of the music is actually simple; only the basic instruments like keyboard, drum and guitar. I guess the cords are not that hard either. The lyrics is very simple; neither so poetic nor complicated that almost everyone can memorize it and sing it easily.

Blog EntryYang Punah - The Existence of...Feb 25, '08 11:18 PM
for everyone

Tutur Tinular

Mantili, Lasmini, Aria Kamandanu, dll! ini favorit sekali. Sampai sekarang my vivid imagination about the story is still clear. Imaginasi berkembang! tahu dong yang namanya radio kita hanya bisa bayangin aja, dan it was a lot of fun!.

Nah sekarang beda! anak sekolah pulang kerumah main games, les, liat TV sampe sore.

For my contacts who speak English

Radio series were quite popular around 80s. At that time, TV channels here  were only few; not so interesting ones. When I was in elementary, I often turned on the radio just to follow some radio series ( Tutur Tinular, Mak Lampir and Srintil) I think I still had some more, but I just don'r remember what they were.

Now everything is of course different; coming home from school, children take lessons, watch TV, or play video games sometimes until late in the afternoon. Slowly but surely, radio series become rare. No one wants to listen to them even if  there is any on the radio. Radio series become less interesting than TV series. This is something obvious; watching TV series you don't even need to imagine how the scene is, yet radio series your imagination works. Anyhow, I don't know about these radio series abroad.

Blog EntryMy Firsts - Yipikiaye!!Feb 7, '08 11:26 AM
for everyone

The first porridge I tried was baby food cerelac

The first ting-a-ling-a-ling beautiful bike I rode was a combination of red and yellow

The first cellphone I had was Sonny Erickson alias SE

The first magazine I read was Bobo

The first most unforgetable moment was looking at a shooting star; it was so "WOW"

The first English dictionary I had was from John M. Echols

The first money I got was when I was five

The first snack I tried was chicki cheese balls

The first foreign language I learned was English

The first pet I had was a cat named unknown

The first song I heard in which I like and can recall was by Vina Panduwinata

The first foreign movie I liked was "Wonder Woman" even I wasn't or am not even a WONDER woman.

The first love I felt was... whoops never shall I share this to anyone but those I care and care me the most.

The first subject I hated the most was Math. Excuse me for all math teachers, never do I mean anything, yet I always spread prayers and love for all you had given me.

The first one who touched my skin was the nurse or the handsome doctor in the hospital I was born, hmm isn't that true mum?

and the first... the first.. the first.....

Too many the firsts I mentioned and that might scare you away! what a bore! naaaa, at least not for me. I guess first is indeed important. To get your second, third, fourth or millionth you start it with your first. Even the first might have hurt you, yet you are willing to try to second and hoping it won't give you any more pain like it did the first time.

Even the first will also be the last

May you share your firsts, but not your firsts most secret ones

For those shall only belong to you and those you trust

Let's have a bit of fun tonight

Before we find another beautiful first the next morning

Now shall I seal my mouth

and let the night do its talking

time to ZZZZZ

I shall seal my mouth as tonight is indeed getting colder and colder.
